How to Unroot / Unbrick Galaxy S4! - Complete Stock

Anyone who wants to unroot / unbrick their Galaxy S4 they can easily by using Odin and the correct stock firmware for their Galaxy S4.

With this step-by-step guide it will show you how to completely unroot your Galaxy S4, remove any custom recovery and unbrick your phone if you are in a boot loop. This guide will work for all the major Galaxy 4s, including GT-i9500, GT-i9505, T-Mobile SGH-M919, AT&T SGH-I337, Verizon SCH-I545, Sprint SPH-L720, and Canada SGH-I337M.

If you are planning on sending your phone back to your carrier/Samsung you FIRST need to reset your binary counter!

This will DELETE EVERYTHING from your phone! Back it up!

1. Enter your phone into "Download Mode". Make sure your phone is unplugged and turned off. Hold the volume down, home center, and power button at the same time. When you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding onto the volume down and home button.

2. Press the volume up to continue and plug in your phone via microUSB.

3. Download Odin and the stock tar file using the links below.

4. Unzip and open Odin3 v1.85. In Odin you should see a yellow highlighted box on the left of the program. If you don't, download and install Samsung USB drivers.

5. Unzip the stock tar file you downloaded then click on "PDA" and locate the tar file that was extracted.

6. Make sure only "Auto Reboot" and "PDA" is check marked. Then click on "Start". This process will take about 5-10 minutes.

7. Once Odin is complete it will say "Pass". Now unplug your phone.

8. You will now see a Android figure on your screen. Wait till you see "Samsung Galaxy S4" and then take out the battery and put it back in.

9. Now enter into Recovery Mode. Hold the volume up, home center, and power button at the same time. When you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding onto the volume up and home button.

10. Select "wipe data/factory reset" > "Yes".

11. Then "reboot system now".

12. You are now on stock Android! You are unrooted, on stock recovery, and unbricked! You can now send this to Samsung/carrier without them knowing you ever modified with your phone.

FAQ:

Q: Odin doesn't show the yellow box when my phone is in Download Mode and plugged into my computer.

A: Make sure your using the original Samsung USB cable, change USB ports, install Samsung USB drivers, and restart your computer.

How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S3! [AT&T/T-Mobile/Verizon]

This will delete everything from your internal sd card (internal memory) on your Galaxy S3!! Back up your photos, contacts...ect!
What will unrooting my Samsung Galaxy S3 do to my phone? If you follow this process step by step it will completely restore your phone back to 100% complete stock, just like the day you bought your phone. It's also safe enough to send back to Samsung without Samsung knowing you ever installed ClockworkMod Recovery or rooted your phone.

1. Download and install Triangle Away app on your phone from Here. Just download the apk at the bottom of the page directly to your phone and install it by tapping on the file.

2. Open the app and select "Reset flash counter".

3. Enter your phone into "Download Mode". Make sure your phone is unplugged and turned off.

4. Hold the volume down, home center, and power button at the same time. When you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding onto the volume down and home button.

5. Press the volume up to continue.

6. Plug your phone via microUSB to your computer.

7. Download "Odin3 v1.85.zip" and the stock file for your phone using the links below. (Sorry for using Depositfiles, the file size is too big for my usual download servers.)-->Download Odin3 v1.85 <---- Everyone download this file!
AT&T - ATT_SGH-I747_1_Unroot_4.0.4.zip
T-Mobile - TMOBILE_SGH-T999_1_Unroot_4.0.4.zip
Verizon - Verizon_SCH-I535_Unroot_4.0.4.zip-->

8. Extract the big stock zip file you just downloaded.

9. Unzip "Odin3 v.185.zip" and open "Odin3 v1.85".

10. In Odin you should see a yellow highlighted box on the left of the program. If you don't download and install Samsung Kies.

11. Click on "PDA" and locate the tar file that was extracted.

12. Click on "Start"and let your phone reboot.

13. If you get any errors or get stuck on bootlooop do a factory reset in stock recovery.

14. Power off your phone, then press the volume up, home center, and power button. Hold all three at the same time, when you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding the volume up and center home button.

15. Select "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" and select "yes".

16. Select "Wipe Cache Partition".

17. Select "reboot system now" and your now on 100% stock and unrooted.

How to Unroot/Unbrick Nexus 7 on Windows!

1. Plug in your tablet via microUSB.

2. Enter your tablet into bootloader mode. Press the power button and volume down button at the same time, keep holding until you see a green Android and start screen.

3. Download Nexus7Unroot.Unbrick.zip below and extract the file.

4. Move the Nexus7Unroot.Unbrick.zip folder into your downloads folder.

5. In the Nexus7Unroot.Unbrick folder you will have drivers for your Nexus 7. Install/ update your Nexus 7 drivers using device manager.

6. Open Command Prompt and type:

cd Downloads
cd Nexus7Unroot.Unbrick
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-grouper-3.34.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-nakasi-jro03d.zip
fastboot oem lock

7. Reboot your phone by pressing the power button and you will be on complete Jelly Bean stock, like the day you first bought your Nexus 7.

8. Only continue if are having problems locking your bootloader!

In command prompt type:
fastboot oem unlock

9. On your Nexus 7 you should see "Unlock Bootloader?" Select "Yes" using the power button.

10. In command prompt type:
fastboot oem lock and you should now have a locked bootloader that is safe to give back to the manufacture.

1. Plug in your tablet via microUSB.

5. Open Terminal and type:

cd Downloads
cd Nexus7Unroot.Unbrick
./fastboot-mac flash bootloader bootloader-grouper-3.34.img
./fastboot-mac reboot-bootloader
./fastboot-mac -w update image-nakasi-jro03d.zip
./fastboot-mac oem lock

6. Reboot your phone by pressing the power button and you will be on complete Jelly Bean stock, like the day you first bought your Nexus 7.
