CodeNameSammy ROM Review for Galaxy Nexus GSM! - TouchWiz for Nexus!

CodeNameSammy ROM is an excellent ROM for anyone who wants to get a good experience out of TouchWiz using the Galaxy Nexus. The ported TouchWiz and the original TouchWiz are very similar and are very stable!

With CodeNameSammy your the only one who has Samsung Android software using a pure Google device! The port has a lot of similar features like page transition, icons, and even the unlock sound!

The only downside to the ROM is that it is currently running 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Go ahead and try out this ROM using the link below, if you like TouchWiz your gonna love this ROM.

OverDrive ROM Review for Galaxy Nexus GSM!

If you want a performance ROM, then OverDrive is the ROM for you. OverDrive ROM takes the Franco kernel and tweaks to give you a great performing ROM. By going into the pre-installed Trickster Mod app you can make modification to your kernel to get the best speed out of your phone..

OverDrive ROM also has a nice dark theme to it, while still giving you that stock experience without all those overwhelming customization features. Just keep in mind that with this ROM you will not give you the best battery life.

How to Install Stock 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on Galaxy Nexus GSM! [ROM] [Pre-Rooted]

This method will just install a stock 4.1.2 Galaxy Nexus GSM Rooted on your phone. This will NOT unroot your phone!

You MUST have ClockworkMod Recovery already on your phone

This will delete all your apps, contacts, settings, ect...! Backup your phone.

1. Download bigxie_maguro_OTA_JZO54K-signed.zip using the link below and transfer it to your phone. DO NOT unzip it!

2. Enter into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode
Power off your phone > Hold the volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time. Keep holding until you feel a vibration. (You will now see a green start screen) > Press the volume up 2x and power button to select "Recovery".

3. Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", choose "yes", and then "go back".

4. Select "Wipe Cache Partition", choose "yes", and then "go back".

5. Selet "Advanced" > "Wipe Dalvik Cache", choose "yes", and then "go back".

6. Go back and select "Install zip from sd card" > "Choose zip from sd card" > Find the bigxie_maguro_OTA_JZO54K-signed zip file you transfered earlier.

7. Select "yes".

8. Go back and select "Reboot system now".

9. Wait at least 10 minutes for your phone to boot up.

10. Setup your phone and enjoy your stock 4.1.2 rooted!

How to install MINCO ROM on Galaxy Nexus! [GSM]

You MUST have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your phone!

1. Download MINCO ROM from the links above

2. Connect you phone to your computer via microUSB and transfer the files

Mac Users - Use Android File Transfer to transfer the zip files to your phone.

3. Enter into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode
Power off your phone > Hold the volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time. Keep holding until you feel a vibration. (You will now see a green start screen) > Press the volume up 2x and power button to select "Recovery"

4. Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", go back.

5. Select"Wipe Cache Partition", go back.

6. Selet "Advanced" > "Wipe Dalvik Cache"

7. Go back and select "Install zip from sd card" > "Choose zip from sd card" > Find the MINCO zip file you transfered earlier.

8. Go back and select "Reboot system now". Wait at least 10 minutes for your phone to boot up and enjoy your custom rom!

How to Install Jelly Bean 4.1.1 on Galaxy Nexus! [Verizon/Sprint]

You MUST have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your phone!

1. Download the ROM from the link above.

2. Connect you phone to your computer via microUSB and transfer the files

Mac Users - Use Android File Transfer to transfer the zip files to your phone.

3. Enter into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode

Power off your phone > Hold the volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time. Keep holding until you feel a vibration. (You will now see a green start screen) > Press the volume up 2x and power button to select "Recovery"

4. Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", go back.

5. Select "Wipe Cache Partition", go back.

6. Selet "Advanced" > "Wipe Dalvik Cache"

7. Go back and select "Install zip from sd card" > "Choose zip from sd card" > Find the Jelly Bean ROM zip file you transfered earlier.

8. Sprint Users Only! Select "Choose zip from SD card" and select the Gapps zip file.

9. Go back and select "Reboot system now". Wait at least 10 minutes for your phone to boot up and enjoy your custom rom!

How to Restore to Stock / Unroot Galaxy Nexus GSM i9250 to Jelly Bean! [Windows] [Odin]

This method will restore you Galaxy Nexus GSM i9250 phone back to 100% complete stock. It will unroot root your phone and get rid of ClockworkMod Recovery. Use this method if you are going to send it back to the manufacture or just want to get back to complete stock.

Note: This will delete everything on your phone so BACKUP all important files to your computer.

Make sure you have Samsung Kies installed on your computer.

1. Enter you phone into "Download Mode". Power off your phone > Hold the volume down and power button at the same time. Keep holding until you see "Downloading..." on the screen.

2. Plug your phone into the computer

3. Download and unzip "Stock/Unroot Jelly Bean GNex GSM.zip" here:

4. Open Odin and you should see a yellow bar on the left side of the application. If you don't make sure you download Samsung Kies from the link above.

5. Click on "PIT" and find/select "I9250_partition-table-0915.pit"

6. Click on "Bootloader" and find/select "ONE.PT.YAKJU.JRO03C.tar.md5"

7. Make sure only "Auto Reboot" is checked marked on the left side for the check boxes

8. Click "Start" and wait for about 10 minutes for the process to complete. Once the process is complete you will be on the 100% complete stock Jelly Bean for your Galaxy Nexus GSM.

3. Enter into ClockworkMod Recovery Mode
Power off your phone > Hold the volume up, volume down, and power button at the same time. Keep holding until you feel a vibration. (You will now see a green start screen) > Press the volume up 2x and power button to select "Recovery"

4. Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", go back.

5. Select "Wipe Cache Partition", go back.

6. Selet "Advanced" > "Wipe Dalvik Cache"

7. Go back and select "Install zip from sd card" > "Choose zip from sd card" > Find the Slim Bean zip file you transfered earlier.

8. Select "Choose zip from sd card" > Find the Common (Gapps) you transfered earlier

9. Go back and select "Reboot system now". Wait at least 10 minutes for your phone to boot up and enjoy your custom rom!
